Scones
Scone Recipe
(I halved the initial recipe)
Makes- 6
Cooking Time- 10 to 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
1/2 tbs caster sugar
40g butter cubed at room temperature
1/2 cup milk
1. Preheat oven to 200 C. Combined the self-raising flour and sugar in a bowl and use your fingertips to rub in the cubed butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

2. Make a well in the centre of bowl and add the milk all at once. Use a knife to combine and until it beings to hold together. Make sure you do not over mix. Once a dough is formed, bring together with hands and knead gently 4/5 times on a lightly floured surface.

3. Use a rolling pin to roll out dough untill about 2cm in thickness. Using a scone cutter, cut out the scones using a straight down motion. Place in baking tray at about 1cm apart.

Betty Crocker Vanilla Cupcakes
Betty Crocker released a new cupcake mix and since I was lazy to make my own I decided buying the pre-mix was the easiest option. It's fairly easy to make these cupcakes as all ingredients are provided except for the butter and water. Follow instructions according to packet.
Combine the ingredients and mix:
After folding in egg whites into the mixture, place into cupcake paper and then into the OVEN! Once cupcakes are springy and cooked, leave to cool.
Frost with given icing.
Cupcakes were light and springy but a little too sweet for my liking. Next time I think I will make my own from scratch.
